Hey, folks, the internet has been buzzing about a recent collaboration I have been doing with Matt Doughty and Marty "GodBeast" Hansen.  It's been called project X, it's been called "feral non-human armored combatant" and variations thereof, but it is now officially been dubbed -- The Armorvor!

You can order these cool guys in any color(s) you want at either of these web addresses:

I think you may need to sign up with octobertoys (something I still need to do), but then just say that you want one (either a specifically colored body, a random colored body, or a head), and marty will hook you up!

You can also visit Marty at www.godbeast.com or Matt Doughty at onelldesign.com, they always have cool stuff cooking.

Also, I've had a portfolio page for a little while now, and I forgot to announce it.  You can click on it above or click here:

It shows some of the nutty stuff I've been up to.  I am considering dividing it up into sections like illustration and concept design, sculptures of my own design, and sculptures for clients (primarily NECA).

Thanks for your support!  Remember, buying one of these directly encourages me to make more "indy" work in the future, so I genuinely appreciate it.

Jason

  3. Thanks, Luke Toywalker! (great name.)
We bounced ideas around for weapons, but I don't know that any were officially decided on. He definitely has his hands ready to grab some armaments, though!

Joel, I will send you an e-mail and I'll probably link to your page. I may need to get your advice on how to do that though, I'm not to competent with this blog!

I plan to update in the next few days. See you guys then!

  5. Hey Jason, my name is Blake from BlakeMake.com, we talked at Planet Comic-Con last year. I make the personalized action figures. Anyway, Richard Whipple and I are recording a podcast series with action figure sculptors, and we thought you'd be a good fit for it. We've already aired two episodes, our first was David Arshawsky and our second was Sith_Fire30 customs, so we're interviewing professionals and hobbyists, but it would be really awesome if you wanted to record an interview. Email me at Blake@BlakeMake.com and let me know what you think, and here's a link to the podcast if you are interested in listening: http://ratfink.podbean.com/

Thanks, and I look forward to seeing you at Comic-Con again,

    Blake

  6. Sorry I have been gone for so long, but I will try to get in contact with you, Blake! I heard the last guy, Dayton, on your show and it sounds cool, I have similar stories to his such as losing a loved toy and wanting to act.
